Patricia Lee Walden of Kingston, TN, passed away peacefully on her 75th birthday, April 29, 2026, in Suwanee, Georgia. Born on April 29, 1951, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to the late Richard E. Peden Sr. and Annette Riseley Peden, Patty was the fifth of six children. She was a 1969 graduate of Roane County High School and attended Roane State Community College, where she studied Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Patty was a founding member of Faith Promise Church and was active for as long as her health allowed, singing in the choir for many years and volunteering in the toddler room for FP Kids. Before retiring, she was the proud owner of a Painting with a Twist franchise in Farragut, TN, where she shared her love of art with countless individuals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alan W. Shubert; third husband, Bobby R. Walden; brothers, Richard E. Peden, Jr. and Robert J. Peden.

She is survived by sons, Brian Shubert of Nashville, TN and David Phillips (Serena) of Duluth, GA; two granddaughters, Liana and Kaia Phillips; three sisters, Barbara Dry (Eddie) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Caryl Griffin Russell (Rick) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jeanne Nolan of Kingston, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 12:00 until 1:00 PM followed by a celebration of Patty’s life at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston, TN and burial at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
