Patsy Aileen Johnson, age 62 of Dayton, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at her daughter’s home. She was born on February 7, 1960, in Rhea County, the daughter of the late J. C. and Juanita (Nichols) McCoy. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky McCoy, Charles McCoy, Doyle McCoy; and her sister, Joyce Leffew.

Patsy lived in Rhea County all of her life. She worked as a seamstress at area hosiery mills. She loved flowers, painting rocks, and shopping for new clothes. She recently gave her heart to Jesus and attended Cove Chapel Church of God.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Norris D. Johnson; her daughter, Jessica Amy (Ronnie) Minton; her sister, Delores (Rev. Rick) Bishop; her brother, Billy (Sheila) McCoy; and her three grandchildren, Brody Minton, Hunter Minton and Brooke Minton, all of Dayton.

Funeral services for Patsy will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Albert Liabastre officiating. She will be laid to rest in her family plot at Burchard Cemetery in the Cove.
