Patsy Ann Fields Ellis, age 74 of Pikeville, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at home with her loving family by her side. Patsy loved her family, enjoyed decorating her home, and tending to her flower gardens. She was a 1970 graduate of Bledsoe County High School, and a member of Pikeville Church of God, where she also enjoyed playing the piano for forty years. Patsy was the Secretary with the Bledsoe County Board of Education for many years, also worked in the Election Commission Office, and in the Bledsoe County Circuit Court Clerk’s office.

Preceding Patsy in death were her parents, Virgil Thomas and Virginia Lee Thurman Fields, Jr.

Patsy will be dearly missed by her loving husband, William John “Bill” Ellis; son, Justin Ellis (April Sasport); daughter, Hope (Neal) Ashburn; grandchildren, Maddie Ashburn and Jaxson Ellis; sister, Trudy (David) Shell; nephew, Alex Shell; and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm CDT Friday, June 26, 2026 in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Dunn officiating. Burial will be in the Brushy Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00pm until service time Friday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
