Paula Helene Payton Bain, 58, of Crossville, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 7, 2025. She now has a perfect, healed body.

Paula was born on July 4, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina to James Payton and the late Shirley Payton. She was a 1984 graduate of Emmanuel Christian Academy in Winchester, VA and worked at One Bank of Tennessee in Crossville, TN before taking leave to focus on her health. Paula was a member of Clarkrange Baptist Church in Clarkrange, TN and was formerly a member of Word of Life Ministries in Stephenson, VA, before moving to Tennessee. Paula loved her church family and singing with them, hiking and biking with her family, bargain shopping, making baskets and tending to her plants.

Paula married Daniel Roger Bain on February 4, 2006 in New Market, Virginia.

Surviving with her husband are her children, Jacob Martin Stonesifer (Ester Perez) of Winchester, VA, Amanda Joan Brewer (Madison) of Winchester, VA, and Chloe Danielle Brown (Robert) of Clarkrange, TN; as well as her bonus daughters who she loved very much, Laura Leigh Bain (Steve Sherwood) of Staunton, VA and Melissa Ann Jones (Nicholas) of Stephens City, VA; 5 grandchildren with 2 more on the way in 2025.

Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Payton, her brother, James B Payton Jr., an unborn child – Baby Bain, and her precious in-laws, Roger and Vivian Bain.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 2 PM on April 19, 2025 at Word of Life in Stephenson, VA with Pastor Adam Cubbage officiating as well as another celebration of life that will be conducted at 2 PM on April 26, 2025 at Clarkrange Baptist Church in Clarkrange, TN with Pastor Dean Patton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paula’s memory to either Word of Life Ministries – 2560 Martinsburg Pike, Stephenson, VA 22656 or Clarkrange Baptist Church – 6250 S York Highway, Clarkrange, TN 38553.
