Peggy Edmonds Henck, age 75, of Harriman, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Born on July 4, 1951, Peggy was a lifelong resident of Roane County who cherished her family, her faith, and the simple joys of life. Peggy was of the Baptist faith and lived her life with kindness, quiet strength, and a loving heart. She found happiness in sewing and quilting, creating treasured keepsakes for those she loved. She also enjoyed relaxing at home watching television, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Preston and Irene Jones Edmonds, and by several brothers and sisters. Peggy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she poured into her family. Whether she was sewing a quilt, sharing time with those she loved, or simply enjoying the comforts of home, she found joy in life’s everyday blessings. Her kindness, strength, and devotion to her family leave a legacy that will be treasured for generations to come. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Scott Henck of Harriman; daughters, Michelle Runions and husband, Michael, of Greenville, Mississippi, and Stacy Barnes and husband, Tommy, of Harriman; son, Thornton “Tguy” Henck of Harriman; grandchildren, Derek DeVall, Breanna Runions, Jesse Trevino, Rebecca Barnes, Abishai Barnes, Joab Barnes, Samuel Barnes, Justus Barnes, Thomas Barnes, and Elizabeth Barnes; 13 great-grandchildren; her cousin and very best friend, Joyce Clark Allen; special nephew, Mark Wood; as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
