Funeral Services for Phyllis Vaughn, age 79, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home.

Bro. Tyler Collins and Bro. Greg Jenkins will officiate with interment to follow in the Mineral Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Vaughn was born on Saturday, November 24, 1945, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Joe Early and Jewelene Edwards Bilbrey.

Mrs. Vaughn passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Signature Helathcare of Putnam County.

Mrs. Vaughn began her working career at Saunderline Café continuing on to Ely Walker, Appalachia, FFM, Kiddie Kingdom, Monterey Nursing Home and Monterey High School working in the cafeteria. She enjoyed her flowers and watching Gunsmoke. She was Baptist in faith. She loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by,

2 daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Bro. Greg Jenkins of Wilder, TN
Angie and Gary Hall of Clarkrange, TN

4 grandchildren, Emily (Tyler) Collins, Elijah (Hannah) Jenkins, Eryn (Elias) Brady, and Evan Jenkins

5 great grandchildren, Aiden and Sadie Collins, Ella and Clara Jenkins, and Elouise Brady

1 sister and brother-in-law, Arlene (Richard) Gillespie of Cookeville, TN

And a host of family members and friends

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joe Carl Vaughn; brothers, Talmage, Bobby, Billy, Teddy, Paul, Harvey “Arlis”, and Eddie Bilbrey; sisters, Merita Neal, Eva Bilbrey, and Charlene Johnson.
