The Monterey Police Department welcomes K-9 Scout to their team. The canine is 3 years old and was just certified as a full patrol dog. His partner is Handler Officer Jeremy Beard. Scout is certified in tracking, apprehension, article and area search, building searches, and narcotics detection. The department says K-9 Fanta has officially retired because of age and health reasons.
