POLICE: SMITH ARRESTED AFTER THREAT TO SHOOT BUSINESS OWNER

Loudon police officers recently responded to a restaurant for a disturbance. The report indicates 68-year-old Jack Clarence Smith, Jr. entered the establishment in a drunken state and demanded they make him hush puppies. He was asked to leave as the kitchen part was already closed. Smith reported threatened to shoot the owner. Authorities allegedly found a 9 mm handgun in a passenger seat of the vehicle Smith was driving. He was charged with public intoxication.
