On May 1, 2025, Baseus announced a recall of approximately 55,380 Baseus 65W 30000mAh Portable Chargers (model BS-30KP365) due to a fire hazard caused by the lithium-ion battery overheating. The recalled chargers, sold in black and white with “65w” printed on the front and a serial number ending in 0-9 or “D,” were available online at Amazon.com, AliExpress.com, Walmart.com, and Baseus.com from April 2020 to April 2025 for $39 to $90.

Consumers should immediately stop using the chargers and contact Baseus at 888-568-7216, [email protected], or https://www.baseus.com/pages/recall_select_BS-30KP365 to register for a free replacement charger with a serial number ending in “A.”

To receive the replacement, consumers must submit a photo of the recalled charger’s model and serial number and confirm proper disposal according to local regulations, as recalled lithium-ion batteries require special handling and should not be disposed of in regular trash or recycling. Baseus has received 76 incident reports, including 72 cases of bulging, four fires, and three instances of property damage. The chargers were manufactured in China by Shenzhen Baseus Technology Co. Ltd.
