Ray Jenkins age 90 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Monday, August 18, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on January 22, 1935 to the late Elmer and Bessie Boles Jenkins and was a lifetime resident of the area. Ray attended school in Rhea County. He worked for Roane Electric Furnace for 27 years. Ray enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also liked sports including Tennessee Vols, Atlanta Braves, and the Miami Dolphins. Ray was of the Baptist faith.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife Jewell Williams Jenkins, his son Ricky Jenkins, his sisters Daisy, Hazel, Betty, and Ruby, and his brothers Dillard, Benton, and Alfred.

Survivors include his son Randy (Sherrie) Jenkins of Knoxville, Tennessee; his brother Ronnie Jenkins of Spring City, Tennessee; his sisters Mildred Arnold of Dayton, Tennessee, and Robbie Crabtree of Kingston, Tennessee, and Judy Mitchell of Halls, Tennessee.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
