REPORT: BROWN ARRESTED AFTER HER CAR PLOWS THROUGH COVID-19 VACCINATION TENT

Blount County authorities say 36-year-old Virginia Christine Lewis Brown of Greenback faces charges after she drove her car through a COVID-19 vaccine tent Monday. Officers stated she narrowly missing National Guard and health department personnel in the process.

Brown was charged with seven counts of felony reckless endangerment.

The arrest report indicates Brown was driving her SUV at a high rate of speed through a closed cone course and a tent where “at least 15 people” were working in the Foothills Mall parking lot. Brown allegedly said she was driving through to protest the vaccine. Witnesses said Brown was yelling “no vaccine” as she sped up just missing several workers.

She is scheduled to make her first court appearance June 7, 2021.
