RICHARD DOUGLAS ORAN age 69 of Crossville, TN passed away April 4, 2025 at his home. He was born June 14, 1955 in Harriman, TN the son of Gene and Ruth Oran. He worked many years at Brushy Mountain State Prison as a guard before they closed. He continued his career in law enforcement at Roane County Sheriff’s Dept. and later as a volunteer with the Crossville Police Dept.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Oran of Crossville, TN, stepsons- Preston Sharp and his wife Mellissa and Jason Sharp and his wife Amy, stepdaughters- Heather Marsh and her husband Jason and Kendra Phillips and her husband Patrick all of Crossville, TN, step grandchildren- Peyton Sharp and wife Eva of Kentucky, Keneshia Sharp and Rebecca Miller and her husband Levi all of Crossville, TN, Harlow Phillips and Axel Phillips, step greatgrandchildren- Maizie Miller, Amos Sharp, brothers- Glen Oran of Harriman, TN and Russ Oran of Oakdale, TN and sister-in-law- Brenda Barker and her husband Darrell of Cookeville, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter- DenisOra brother- Danny Oran and an infant granddaughter.
