Rita Faye Swint, born March 9, 1951 in Gobey, Tennessee, passed away quietly in her home in Wartburg on December 14, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Pleas and Maxine Hall. Rita was a devoted and loving daughter, grandmother, nanny, mother, and wife. She had a beautiful soul and was a nurturer and caretaker by nature. To know her was to love her. She kept a beautiful home that was and will remain an oasis to many.

She was a member of Mossy Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pleas and Maxine Hall and sister Betty Ann Freels.

She is survived by husband of 54 years, Roy Everett Swint, son Justin Swint and wife Nicole, grandchildren Lawson and Lillie Swint, sister Janice Freels and husband Dennis, special niece Lisa Freels, and special great niece Bailey Carter, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4pm-7pm at Schubert’s Funeral Home in Wartburg with funeral to follow with Pastor Jim Disney officiating. Graveside will be held at Mossy Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11am.
