Rita Pearl Sullivan, age 71, passed away peacefully at UT Hospital in Knoxville, TN on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Rita was born to the late Taylor Wyatt and Elisa Mae (Wyatt) Dunlap in Crossville, TN on January 28, 1955. Along with her parents, Rita is also preceded in death by her stepfather Robert Dunlap. Rita relocated to the Knoxville area and has resided here for 45 years. Rita was a loving wife, mother and wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. In May of 1973 Rita married her love Donald Sullivan with whom she brought two sons into the world. Rita worked 20+ years as a secretary for Home Health, then proceeded to retire in 2019 from Pouch Place in Knoxville, TN where she was a Quality Control team member. Rita enjoyed reading in her spare time, but above all she loved her husband, children and all the grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her husband of 52 years Donald Sullivan, sons: Adam (Anna) Sullivan and Erik Sullivan both of Knoxville, TN. Grandchildren: Addie Mae and Easton Sullivan, Thaddius Smith, Taylor Sullivan, Lillie Sullivan and Liam Sullivan. One Great Grandchild – Jayla Sullivan. Rita is also survived by four sisters: Susie (Ralph) Morgan of Crossville, TN, Marilyn Sooy, Tammie Wyatt and Teresa Smith all of Nashville, TN.
