Mr. Robert Bartley Sherwood, age 75 of Clinton passed away on Friday December 19, 2025 at his home. Robert was a Christian and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Robert also loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Jackson Sherwood; son Jason Sherwood; parents Homer and Ruth Sherwood; sisters Dottie Charters and Bernice Brooks.

Robert is survived by his daughter Jennifer Gilland and husband Joseph; son Robert Sherwood; grandchildren Tanner Gilland and Christopher Sherwood; sister Janie Benham; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

A private family burial will be held.
