Robert Lee Orme, age 96, was born to Fred Hobert and Bessie Jane Burgess Orme in the Burke Community in Pikeville, TN on December 10, 1929 and passed away in Monterey, TN on July 15, 2026. He was a farmer, but also did a lot for his community. He founded the farmers market, belonged to the fair board, and was a county commissioner for many years. He was also a grand master mason and a shriner.

Robert is survived by his children- Robert Orme, Lietta Erickson, and Vernon Lynn Orme (Debbie); five grandchildren- Robert Nolan, Taylor Orme, Hannah Brandon, Ethan Scotchell and Bess Rodgers, four great grandchildren; and two sisters- Violet Sikes and Mary Coats.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife- Dollie Mae Orme; son- Nick Orme, grandson- Trey Scotchell; and brothers- Tom, Floyd and Charlie Orme.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:00 with service to follow. Walter Tollett will officiate and he will be laid to rest beside his wife in Big Lick Cemetery.
