Roberta L. “Berty” Raines 58, of Evensville, Tennessee passed away at her residence Tuesday January 13, 2026. She lived with her sister April Johnson and brother-in-law James. Berty loved music and blankets of all kinds. She had a heart of gold and was always so sweet to everyone she met. Berty was a former student of Orange Grove School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Berty is preceded in death by her mother Mary E. Raines, father Grady H. Hamill, biological father Bob Raines and her sister Diane Hickey.

Survivors include her sisters April (James) Johnson of Evensville, Tennessee, Cindy (Tom) McGhee of Spring City, Tennessee, Glenda (Bryan) Goodman of Spring City, Tennessee, Joanie Raines of Dayton, Tennessee, and Bonnie Berry of Athens, Tennessee. Berty is also survived by her brother David (Louise) Raines of Spring City, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 16, 2026 at 2P.M.in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Porter-Hill Cemetery in Spring City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends one hour before services at Vaughn Funeral Home.
