Robinette Wilson Garner, 91, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026. She was born on July 17, 1934, to Rob and Kate Wilson.
Robinette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Chuck” Garner, who passed away last spring; her son, Fred Garner; her sister, Jeanelle Bates; and her brother, Bob Wilson.
She is survived by her loving son Jim Garner and his wife Brenda Garner, and their family:
Kyle Garner and his children, Laney and Evie Garner
Paul Garner, his wife Amanda Garner, and their son Hudson Garner
She is also survived by her daughter Robin Clem and her husband Mark Clem, and their family:
Chase Clem and his wife Ashley
Riley Clem and his wife Lexi Clem, and their children Monroe and Maevery
Robinette is also survived by her siblings Geneva Benefield, Tom Wilson and his wife Dorothy, and Kathy Higdon.
A devoted wife and mother, Robinette was known for her quiet strength and deep, unwavering faith, which guided her throughout her life. She found immense joy in her family and especially loved watching her grandsons play ball.
Robinette was a wonderful cook, and her kitchen was a place of comfort and gathering. Her pies were legendary—shared at holidays, family dinners, and special occasions—and were loved by all who had the good fortune to enjoy them. She also cherished playing bridge with her friends, sipping coffee, and treating herself to peach milkshakes.
Robinette will be remembered for her loving heart, steadfast faith, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through her family, her traditions, and the countless lives she touched.
Graveside service 11:00 am Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Roane Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that you do an act of kindness for someone. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Garner Family.
