Mr. Ronnie R. Taylor, age 78 of Rockwood, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 29, 1946. Ronnie retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He spent most of his years afterwards at Glen Hill’s and in all of his car buddies’ garages. Ronnie was known to have some of the fastest cars in Roane county. You always could hear him coming, and you knew that if you saw a blur go by that it was him, and shortly afterwards there would be blue lights chasing after him. Once he reached Highway 70 going up the mountain, they would never catch him. He was a “car guy” his entire life. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; Cecil Taylor & Grace Taylor; wife: Donna Taylor; and his other special family members: Charlotte Taylor & Kathleen Delozier. He is survived by:

Daughters: Rhonda Fields (Jay), Vickie Long (Nikki), and Jennifer Marlow

Grandchildren: Derrick, Bailey, Caitlin, Adrian, Tori, Beau, Peyton, and Alanis

Great grandchild: Ashlin Blake and a host of other great grandchildren

and many other extended family members and car friends throughout the community.

Family and friends will meet in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm ET for a graveside service with Bro. Bud Strader officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evans Mortuary to help with funeral expenses. Evans Mortuary is proudly serving the family of Mr. Ronnie R. Taylor.
