Sadie Gibbons born May 6, 1936 (age 88) of Ozone, Tennessee went to meet her Savior
surrounded by family on December 10, 2024 in Brookville, Ohio. She was born in Pineville,
Kentucky to the late Millard and Angeline (Wilder) Hoskins. She was married to the late Glen
Gibbons, the love of her life, for 66 years. She married Glen on March 27, 1954. Their home
was in Kentucky until moving to Pontiac, Michigan. They bought a farm in 1972 in Ozone,
Tennessee which has been her home for 52 years. Sadie was known for her smile and sweet
spirit, good-cooking, and canning vegetables from the garden. She loved flowers. She enjoyed
all her hanging baskets of flowers around the porch and car port. Glen and Sadie loved having
visits from family members and hosted many Gibbons Family reunions. Sadie has been telling
the staff that cared for her “I am going home for Christmas” and she is home for Christmas.
She has joined several family members including sisters: Christine Miracle, Louise Early, Vivian
Card, and brothers Ross Hoskins, Millard Hoskins, Jr.
Sadie is survived by siblings; brother, Hobert Hoskins; sisters Bobbie Taylor, Betty Saylor,
Phyllis Wilder and Darlene Saylor.
Children; Glen Dale (Gayle) Gibbons of Dayton, Ohio, Darrell (Roma) Gibbons of Rockwood,
Tennessee, Shelia (Gary) Reed of Spring City, Tennessee, Randall (Alma) Gibbons of Ozone,
Tennessee, Jeff (Trudy) Gibbons of Ozone, Tennessee.
9 Grandchildren; Jonah (Brandy) Johnson, Shaun Scott, Travis (Sarah) Gibbons, Stephanie
(Rusty) Wysong, Ashley (Jason) Sutherland, Angela (Nathan) Gibbons, Abby (Alex) Wurzel,
Matt (Keeli) Gibbons and Aimee (Wes) Gibbons.
20 Great Grandchildren; Rayne Bennett, Raygen Johnson, Ryver Johnson, Carson Blake,
Mason Creason, Elijah Wysong, Kaden Sutherland, Jackson Gibbons, Jillian Wysong, Harper
Stocksbury, Lillie Sutherland, Sadie Sutherland, Paisley Nance, Trever Gibbons, Beckett
Wurzel, Ashlynn Wysong, Graham Wurzel, Ava Wurzel, Adaline Myers and Za’riyah Brown.
5 Great-Great Grandchildren; Whitley Johnson, Noa Johnson, Saylor Johnson, Millie Johnson,
Kai Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
