A high speed multi county pursuit that started in Overton ended with an arrest. The report says the chase with the driver, 34-year-old Daniel Scantland, in a 2006 Acura began on Mountain Road to Sullivan Road. The deputy learned from dispatch Scantland was wanted by Putnam County authorities. The suspect eventually crossed into Pickett County and then Fentress when Scantland stopped near the bridge over Big Indian Creek near Manson Road and surrendered. He faces several charges including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment
