SEARCH CONTINUES FOR WAYNE COUNTY, KENTUCKY JAIL ESCAPEE

The Wayne County, Kentucky Sheriff’s Department continues their search for a jail escapee. Officers say 20-year-old Albert Young of Monticello escaped from the detention center Monday when he was able to pry a chain link fence loose while in the recreation yard. He was last seen running toward the Kentucky 90 bypass.

Young is a Caucasian male, standing 6’ tall, weighs 195 pounds, medium build with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was indicted in August of 2018 on multiple counts of third-degree assault as well as resisting and evading arrest.

Young was serving a 5-year sentence at the Wayne County Detention Center as a state prisoner on the charge of third-degree assault of a police officer or probation officer at the time of his escape.

If you see Young, call 911 and report his position.
