SEVERAL FATALITIES REPORTED AFTER TORNADO HITS LOGAN COUNTY, OHIO

Authorities in Logan County, Ohio confirm several fatalities and numerous injuries after a tornado ripped through the county last night.

Logan County EMA says they are currently dealing with a “mass casualty event.”

A spokesperson with Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine says they have seen 19 patients in the emergency room with tornado-related injuries.

Logan County Sheriff Randall Dodds says mobile home parks in Russell Point and Lakeview took a direct hit.

Dodds confirmed there have been fatalities but at this time the number of people dead has not been released.

Ohio Department of Transportation crews are using plow trucks to help clear roads of debris after the high winds and tornados that touched down in Logan County.

This is a developing story.
