Mrs. Shirley Ann Young, age 88, passed away October 10, 2024 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was a very loving woman who loved her family and an amazing Christian who loved her God and her church. She always put herself last and everyone else first.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Noble Granville Young; parents, Elsie and Dillard Phillips; and brothers: Ken and Paul Phillips.

Shirley leaves behind daughters: Deborah (Ron) Weiler and Tammie Thomas; son Gary (Nancy) Young; grandchildren: Jason Young, Jennifer (Charles) Kostuck, Michael Weiler, Sarah Weiler, David Weiler, Chelsea (Jonathon) Beasley, and Chucky (Jamie) Thomas; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Trent, Ellie Thomas, Rowen and Freyja Kostuck, Elijah Beasley, and Kylie Thomas; nephew, Jerry Thompkins; and sister, Betty Thompkins.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 14, 2024 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at the Black Creek/Cross Roads Cemetery in Robbins, TN.
