Shirley Keith, 91
Shirley Keith, 91, passed away peacefully in her home on November 16, 2025, in Kingston, Tennessee surrounded by her loving family. She was born into a large family on June 9, 1934 in Flat Lick, Kentucky to James and Betty Williams, all of whom preceded her in death including five brothers (Jack, Bob, Charlie, Marvin, Ernie) and one sister (Gladys).
Shirley spent 53 years of her life with her loving husband, Alvin Keith. Her beloved Alvin along with their son, Kenneth Keith, and daughter Sherry Ausmus preceded her in death.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Patricia Branham (husband Bryson); her sister, Jan Green, 92, of Delta, Ohio; her grandchildren, Steven Branham, Rachel Wampler (husband Josh), Phillip Ausmus (wife Devon), and Jonathan Ausmus, and Jeremiah Arthur (wife Laura); fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a 60+ year member of First Baptist Church in Kingston. She loved Jesus deeply and lived out her faith with a servant’s heart. She adored her family and spent her life caring for them with generosity, kindness, and unwavering love. She loved Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball and would anxiously await tip off for each and every game. She found joy in bird watching and making sure she fed every flock and squirrel family for miles around. She also enjoyed traveling and making memories with those close to her. She was known as Mammaw to any child that came through her door and was loved by all of them.

Shirley’s funeral service will be held at Fraker Funeral Home in Kingston, TN, on Thursday, November 20. Receiving of friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Kingston Memorial Gardens in Kingston, TN. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston in charge of all the arrangements.
