Rockwood Middle School student Madison Skubisz recently competed in the 2021 Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair (SASEF) and received both 5th place overall and a Certificate of Excellence Award. The honor is given to those students whose project was determined by the judges to be of exceptional merit and deserving of higher status. She has also been nominated for the Broadcom MASTERS, a competition for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science fair competitors. This summer she has the opportunity to compete nationally for prizes and awards including a grand prize of $25,000.
