STOWERS ELECTED MAYOR OF JAMESTOWN, TENNESSEE
Harvey Stowers will be the new mayor of Jamestown, Tennessee after taking 51 percent of the vote last night. Stowers defeated challenger Ryan Smith and incumbent Lyndon Baines. Ryan Smith took 28 percent of the vote while incumbent Lyndon Baines finished third with 21 percent. James Red Bowden and Kaye Bridges will join incumbents Becky Duncan, Charles Cooper and Jeni Ledbetter on the Jamestown Board of Aldermen. Julie Matthews was re-elected on the Fentress County Commission.
