Susan M. Singleton, Age 51

Susan M. Singleton age 51 of Crossville, TN passed away July 7, 2024. She was born February 7, 1973 in Jefferson City, TN the daughter of Rufus and Evelyn McDaniel Kee. She worked as a sales clerk and was of the Baptist faith.

Susan was a loving mother and a doting Nana whose family was the center of her world. If you knew Susan you knew that her greatest joys were her son, Travis, and her Nana’s boy Jaydin, whom she loved more than anything in this world. Her eyes would light up with pride and happiness whenever she spoke of them, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

She had a special place in her heart for cats, and her home was always filled with the warmth and companionship of her furry friends. She loves and leaves behind her cat Gizzy.

In her younger days, she had a passion for playing softball. She was known for her competitive spirit and love for the game. The joy and camaraderie she found on the softball field were just another reflection of her vibrant and energetic personality.

Susan also loved to write, using her talent to express her thoughts, emotions, and the beauty she saw in the world around her. Her words were a reflection of her soul and through them, she shared her wisdom, her dreams, and her love with all of us.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. As we remember Susan, let us celebrate the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

She is survived by her son- Travis Kee and his wife Elisha of Crossville, TN, sister- Bobbie Brotherton of Morristown, TN, grandchildren- Braelynn Whittaker, Triston Whittaker and Jaydin Kee, nieces- Trish, Angie and Amanda, nephews- Joey, Tad and Dwayne and longtime friend- Marsha Baker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother- William Kee and sisters- Tina Kee, Wilma Kee and Betty Kee.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday July 14, 2024 at 5pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4pm-5pm at the funeral home.
