Sylvia Ruth Moore, age 76, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully May 2, 2025. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, lived through the Southeast at times, resided in Kingston, TN for many years, and remained a proud Tennessean throughout her life.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jess and Marie Smith of Kingston, and her sister, Betty Smith.

She is survived by her loving daughters: Jessica Brown, Chanda Brown Davis, and Kikki Lacy; her sister, Alice Smith Mullenix; and a legacy of cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Makala Lacy, Jackson and Jesse Green, Jai Atkins, Jazzlyn Atkins (Christian Johnson),Sashi Hurst, Jaden Jones and Wilder Brown, Kai and Wyatt Martin, Braxton and Waylon Green, and Zyaire Johnson. She also leaves behind loving friends and family: Missy Brown, Maggie Brown, and Preston Smith.

Sylvia will be remembered for her creative spirit, infectious smile, and deep love for the arts. A talented artist and a lifelong music and dance enthusiast, she brought light and joy to every space she entered. Her passion, humor, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor Sylvia’s memory and the beauty she shared with the world. Burial 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the Moore Family.
