The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking for a Murfreesboro attorney wanted on sex crime charges.

Agents say 49-year-old David Whelan faces aggravated rape and statutory rape involving a teenage babysitter.

The investigation into Whelan started in February 2019 on allegations that he attempted to get a client to provide sexual activity in lieu of payment. Whelan reportedly coerced female clients into sex in exchange for attorney’s fees.
