Upper Cumberland SHIP to Host FREE Welcome to Medicare Classes in Cumberland County Are you eligible for Medicare and curious about your plan options? Upper Cumberland SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) is conducting a series of FREE Welcome to Medicare! Classes across the Upper Cumberland. In Cumberland County, classes will take place at the Art Circle Public Library from 9 a.m. until noon on the following dates:

Apr. 11
June 25
Aug. 13
Oct. 1

Each class will consist of training on Parts A, B, C & D, as well as Medigap policies and ways to prevent Medicare fraud. SHIP is a federally funded program administered through the Area Agency on Aging & Disability (AAAD). SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) and SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) are administered locally by the Upper Cumberland Development District and cover all 14 Upper Cumberland counties. SHIP/SMP representatives provide free and unbiased Medicare counseling for any questions, abuse, or concerns; they will also screen Medicare benefi ciaries for Low-Income Assistance Programs. Registration begins at 12:00, pageant will start at 1:00 @ the Cumberland County High-school Auditorium.

Humanitarian/People’s Choice
We will have a Ms Spectacular for every age, they will all receive a crown and sash.
This is a semi-glitz pageant. This event will be beauty only. Please keep hair and makeup age appropriate, no flippers please.
Awards
Queens: Queens in each division will receive a beautiful crown and sash!
1st, 2nd alternate will receive a crown.
People’s choice (optional): $1 per vote. Contestants may collect votes prior to the pageant and the contestants 0-9, 10 and up both will win a crown.
Divisional Side Awards: Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Eyes, Best Dress, and Prettiest Smile will each receive a certificate.
Humanitarian Project-Carley’s Caring Crown will be taking up items for the House of Hope for kids Christmas. Pajamas 10 points, undergarments 1 point per pair and socks 1 point per pair.
Door Admission: Contestants and one adult get in free, Adults $5.00, Children $3.00, Children 5 and under free.
