The final Associated Press (AP) Top 25 college football poll for the 2023 season was released today (Sunday, December 3, 2023).

The Tennessee Volunteers finished 25^th.

The Vols will play in a bowl game. Their opponent will be announced later today.

Alabama defeated Georgia Saturday night to win the SEC Championship and punch their ticket into the college football playoffs. The Crimson Tide will play number-one-ranked Michigan on January 1, 2024. The winner advances to play for the national championship against the winner of the Texas/Washington game.

Other SEC teams in the final AP college football poll of 2023 include Alabama at 5^th, Georgia fell from first to 6^th, Missouri is 9^th, Ole Miss is 11^th, and LSU is 13^th.
