The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a head-on crash on Highway 56 in Grundy County yesterday claimed two lives. The report says a car driven by 38-year-old Stephanie McGee of Tracy City was heading north when it crossed over the center line and hit a vehicle operated by 44-year-old Melanie McCormick. The impact killed McGee and a passenger in her automobile, 38-year-old Holly Stephens of Coalmont, Tennessee. McCormick and another passenger were injured.
