TENNESSEE INMATE STEPHEN HUGUELEY FOUND DEAD IN PRISON
The Tennessee Department of Corrections says death row inmate 53-year-old Stephen Hugueley has died in prison. A cause was initially unreleased.
Hugueley was sentenced to death in 2003 for the fatal stabbing prison counselor Delbert Steed at the Hardeman County Correctional Complex. He was already serving a life sentence for the deadly shooting of his mother, Rachel Waller, and disposing of her body into a river.
While Hugueley was an inmate at the West Tennessee High Security Prison in 1991, he killed an inmate. In 1997, Hugueley stabbed another inmate while incarcerated at what was known as Brushy Mountain Prison in Morgan County. Hugueley was later moved to Riverbend Maximum Security Prison.
