The Tennessee Vols football team will take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on New Year’s Day at 1 p.m.

The Hawkeyes have 10 wins but are coming off a shutout loss to top-ranked Michigan in the Big Ten title game. The Volunteers have eight wins with three of their four losses coming against top-10 opponents.

This is Tennessee’s 56th bowl appearance, including a win in the 2020 Gator Bowl that was later vacated because of NCAA sanctions. This is the Volunteers’ first trip to the Citrus Bowl since beating Michigan to cap the 2001 season with 11 wins. The Vols have won four of their five previous appearances to this bowl game.
