Terrence Adam Long

Terrence Adam Long, a resident of Newcomb, TN passed away suddenly on February 15, 2023. He was born on August 8th, 1979, to Theresa Long and Binky Griffis in Rockwood, TN. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence with his grandmother, Shirley Long, whom he had referred to as his lifelong best friend.

Terrence was a friend to all and would always be the first to lend a helping hand. He chose to live his life to the fullest, ready to answer adventure’s call whenever it came. He loved to listen to music and used every opportunity possible to jam out with his guitar. He loved the summertime and was always called to the water. He was a master swimmer and it was amazing to watch him in the water. The outdoors were where he seemed most at home, where you could see his soul to the fullest. He met who he called his best friend, soul mate, his Pretty Girl, almost 10 years ago. During this time anyone who knew Terrence would agree that the two of them changed each other’s lives a million percent for the better. Watching their love story was so beautiful and Terrence would always say meeting her saved his life and gave him the reason to live he had been looking for his whole life. So from then on, he enjoyed all of his spare time with his wife, Nicole, and two stepchildren, Haden and Kylee. Terrence and Nicole were married on March 5, 2016, at Indian Mountain State Park in Jellico, TN. Terrence expressed that the years spent with “his girls” were the best years of his life. Terrence obtained his CDL in 2017, which he said and you could tell was one of his proudest accomplishments. Terrence will be missed dearly by his entire family, all of his friends, and anyone who got the pleasure of meeting him.
