Mrs. Thelma Sue Stringfield, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday August 7, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Elsie Cross and John and Isabelle Smithers; and husband, Millard Stringfield.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Mike) Craft of Leesburg, GA; son, Timmy Stringfield of Lancing; brother, Fred (Betty) Cross of Deer Lodge; grandchildren: Joshua (Andrea) Gardner, Shandy Harris, Rimanda (Jeremy) Carsner; great-grandchildren: Teniah, Iman, Zoey, Mayliah, Aerith, Colt, Samara, Presley Jo, and Lakley; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 10 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will be at 2 PM with Bro. Bobby Stewart officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Lane Cemetery in Lancing, TN.
