Tom Grizzard, age 86 of Harriman, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at his home. Tom was a member of Harriman Global Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing and umpiring softball games. He loved his family deeply and although, he was a man of few words, his affection was evident in the way he cared for others. Tom worked as a researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and held a master’s degree in biology. He retired in 1995.

Preceded in death by his parents, Irwin “Grizz” and Bonnie Adkisson Grizzard; sister, Laura “Sookie” Burns; daughter, Stacy Lea Grizzard McGhee; grandson, Landon Grizzard.

Survived by his faithful, and loving wife of 66 years, Dolores “Corky” Grizzard; sons, Tom Grizzard (Lisa) and Mike Grizzard (Gina); sister, Rebecca Sorrells; grandchildren, Brett Grizzard (Megan), Laci Pryor (Christian), Colten Stinnett, Cassidy Stinnett, Lucas Grizzard (Macy) and Bonnie Mullinax (Kegan); eight great grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman, Tennessee. Funeral Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday with Rev.
