Funeral Services for Treva L. Swallows, age 89, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Michael Waters will officiate with interment to follow in the Whittaker Cemetery. Mrs. Swallows was born on Saturday, October 19, 1935, in the Rocky Point Community of Putnam County, to the late Johnnie Erman and Mary Lula Beasley Stamps. Mrs. Swallows passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Swallows was a homemaker. She loved flowers and her flower gardens. She was Baptist in faith. She is survived by, 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Mark (Linda) Swallows of Cookeville, TN, Steven (Peggy) Swallows of Monterey, TN, Chris (Melissa) Swallows of Jamestown, KY; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Joe “Bob” Stamps of Ohio; 1 sister, Mary Willene Jackson of Ohio; 1 special cousin, Donald Whitteaker of Cookeville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Swallows; 2 sons, Jimmie Swallows and Kendall Swallows; 2 sisters, Ila Whiteaker and Leatha Ramsey; and 3 brothers, Houston Deloy Stamps, Clarence Edward Stamps, and James Dillard “JD” Stamps.
