The Tennessee Highway Patrol took Richard Molter into custody today in Madison County after a high-speed pursuit. Molter was wanted in Maryland for several felonies including 1st and 2nd degree assault with a vehicle. The chase ended when Molter wrecked his car on Interstate 40 near Exit 83 (Campbell Street Exit). The suspect then fled on foot, and a lengthy search took place from ground and air until Molter was apprehended. No other information was immediately released.
