An 18-year-old female from Putnam County lost her life in a vehicle accident on Hilham Road last night (Christmas Eve). Troopers say Catie Scott of Cookeville was traveling northbound when she lost control of her automobile and went into the path of an oncoming car driven by 47-year-old Charles Allen of Cookeville. Scott passed away and Allen and a passenger sustained injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says winter weather conditions played a part in the accident.
