Troy Wayne “Toby” Owens, Sr., age 90, a resident of Harriman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 10, 2025 and is now reunited with his loving wife who he missed dearly.

He was born on August 25, 1934 and was a devoted man of his faith. He was ordained as Deacon in 1995 at Union Valley Baptist Church and was a Deacon and member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Harriman. Toby worked for 33 years as an Electrician before his retirement and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Works, Local Union 760 in Knoxville for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Delores Owens; parents, Willard Owens and Lora Ruffner Scarborough; daughter, Vickie Singleton; daughter-in-law, Penny Owens; granddaughters, Christy Morrison and Kerri Owens; brothers, Melvin Ray Owens, James A. Owens, and Richard Owens; sister, Mary East, Betty Vann, and Jonnnie Lomax; son-in-law, Richard Stubblefield.

Survivors include his children, Pam (Steve) Morrison of Princeton, Indiana, Troy Owens Jr. of Harriman, TN, Sharon (Mark) Pierce of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Tami Stubblefield of Cleveland, TN, and Patricia Owens of Harriman, TN; 12 grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Receiving of friends will be 12-1 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home of Oliver Springs. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm with Rev. Will Gouge officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
