TSSAA REVERSES DECISION ON CUTTING REFEREE PAY DURING BASKETBALL SEASON
The TSSAA has changed its decision for a $25 cut for basketball referees after receiving feedback from high school administrators. The new pay will begin this week with three-person crews receiving $105 each. Currently, basketball game attendance is limited to just immediate family in the same household of athletes and coaches. That is the result of a Governor Bill Lee executive order which restricted the number of fans permitted to attend high school basketball games.
