TWO DEAD AFTER MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN POWELL

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says two people died following a multi-vehicle crash in Powell yesterday. The accident involved three vehicles and a motorcycle. Troopers say the motorcycle operated by 50-year-old Mark Moore of Knoxville was traveling south on Emory Road south of Bishop Lane when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Michael Robert Robinson of Knoxville. Robinson then struck a Kia Soul operated by 49-year-old Wendy Blair of Knoxville. That sent Blair’s vehicle into a Ford F-150 driven by 50-year-old John Blair of Knoxville. Moore and a passenger on the motorcycle, 49-year-old Kimberly Foster of Knoxville died in the accident. Wendy Blair was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol charged Robinson with two counts of vehicular homicide. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department jail inmate website, Robinson is additionally charged with possession of a firearm while under the influence. The accident is still under investigation.
