These photos were taken on Paint Rock Rd in New Johnsonville, where floodwaters have overtaken parts of the roadway. The gravel parking lot shown is actually a boat ramp on TN National, which is also underwater.

Water levels are at their peak, but conditions remain dangerous. Flooded roads can be deeper and stronger than they appear—it only takes a few inches of water to sweep a vehicle away!

For your safety and the safety of first responders: Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads. If you see water covering the roadway, turn around, don’t drown!
