Tyler Blankenship, 44

Tyler Blankenship, age 44, of Sweetwater went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 22, 2024. Tyler was a member and Deacon of Cedar Valley Baptist Church. He was a Sweetwater City Police Officer where he loved serving his hometown and community. There was nothing that he enjoyed more than spending time with his wife and daughter. His favorite days were spent on the Beach or a Disney Cruise Ship. He enjoyed Saturdays in the fall where he loved to flip the channels with his remote and watch as many games as possible, but his favorite was the one where he was yelling “Roll Tide”. Preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Brenda Blankenship.
Survivors include his wife: Bridget Blankenship, daughter: Hanna Blankenship, sisters: Whitney (Patrick) Dalton, Marla (Marty) Lawson, nieces: Toryn and Talley Lawson, Deanna Dalton. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Wayne and Sandra Phelps,
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Sweetwater from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a celebration of life service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Interment 2:30P.M. on Wednesday in the Sweetwater Memorial Park. Members of the Sweetwater City Police Department will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Dacus, Adam Ingram, Ben Smith, Chris Best, Jason Goddard, Josh Stovall, David McHan, and Jeremy Rogers. Instead of flowers donations may be made to the Sweetwater Jr. High School Baseball Team. At Tylers request: Please come wearing his 814 shirt or any sports team shirt.
