ULTRALIGHT PILOT RECOVERING AFTER CRASH NEAR FALL CREEK FALLS
Authorities with the Van Buren County Emergency Management Agency say the pilot of an ultralight aircraft is recovering after hitting a tree while landing near Fall Creek Falls State Park Tuesday night.
The accident happened at about 8:40 p.m. near Groves Road.
Van Buren EMA says the ultralight aircraft appears to have hit a tree. The 63-year-old pilot was flown by Lifeforce helicopter to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga with unknown injuries.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
