Vadra Jane Barnett Walden, age 64, of Niota, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Hobert and Evelyn Brackett Barnett. She was a long-time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed thrift shopping, cooking, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years: Dwight Walden, daughter: Ashley (Anthony) Swafford, brother: Edward Barnett, grandchildren: Abriella, Arya, Leon, nieces and nephews: Adrienne Stewart, Colby Barnett, Broderic Arnett, Bridget Arnett, and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Franklin Melton.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Isbill officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., prior to the service on Thursday.
