Clark Lea has been named the new head football coach for Vanderbilt. Lea played for the Commodores as fullback from 2002 until 2004 and has spent the last three years as the defensive coordinator for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Lea will assume his new role after Notre Dame’s season is over. The Fighting Irish will play for the ACC Championship this Saturday (December 19, 2020) and possibly will appear in the college football playoffs. Notre Dame’s defense ranks 14th nationally allowing just over 300 yards per game and the Irish rank 12th giving up just over 17 points a game.
