Sheriff Tim Catron presented Cody Vaughn yesterday with the Wayne County, Kentucky Sheriff’s Department Act of Bravery Citizen Award. Vaughn was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident back on March 19, 2020 when a vehicle ran a stop sign then collided with his vehicle. The vehicle caught fire with the driver rendered unconscious inside. Vaughn ran to the vehicle then pulled the driver to safety without regard to the safety of his own life. Sheriff Catron said without question, this act saved the driver’s life.
